First Day Festival

First Day Festival is a celebration of education and the start of a new school year. Every August thousands of students attend the First Day Festival not only to celebrate education, but to also receive school supplies for the new school year. The First Day Festival provides children and families with information on educational services in the community, as well as a fun day together. Highlights of the festival include:

• ​Free admission to the SC Aquarium during the hours of the Festival (and 1 extra hour to 5:00 pm.)

• Healthy Food Samples 

• Kids Zone activities

• Free school supplies

• $1 parking at the SC Aquarium Garage & Gaillard Garage
   

This year’s Festival is on Sunday, August 18th 1:00-4:00pm at Liberty Square and Gadsdenboro Park. This EXTRAORDINARY festival is made possible through community partnership and collaboration. We thank you in advance for your support!
